Eastern Market Main Street Announces
THE HOLLY DAYS
(WASHINGTON) – From November 25 through December 31, Eastern Market Main Street (EMMS) will present THE HOLLY DAYS, a multi-platform promotional campaign inviting visitors and residents to spend the holiday shopping season at EMMS businesses.
The holidays are always a beautiful time of year, but the commercial corridor at the heart of Capitol Hill offers a special brand of holiday cheer. THE HOLLY DAYS is an EMMS initiative designed to encourage residents to support their local economy during the holiday season. The campaign will kick off on Small Business Saturday, November 25, 2017, and continue through the end of December. Businesses on the EMMS corridor can participate in décor, advertising, and marketing opportunities - and THEHOLLYDAYS.com will serve as an online gathering space for events, activities, specials, and promotions hosted on the corridor.
“Simply put, the mission of EMMS is to support and promote our small businesses,” said Manuel Cortes, Chair of EMMS and owner of local retail store GroovyDC. “Through THE HOLLY DAYS, we are encouraging both our neighbors and the larger DC community to purposefully shift their purchases of gifts, décor, food, and other holiday items to small and locally-owned businesses.”
“We hope that by highlighting the variety and synergy on the corridor, we will increase awareness of the importance of buying local and provide valuable, tangible support to the amazing businesses on our corridor,” said Madeleine Odendahl, EMMS Program Manager.
